Winter on the Catinaccio

Treat yourself to a great holiday of fun and relaxation, with incredible panoramic views of the Catinaccio and the Dolomites, a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts.

There are plenty of quiet places around the Catinaccio/Rosengarten, or "the Rose Garden", for those in search of a fun, relaxing winter or skiing holiday where you can discover unspoilt nature under the banner of adventure.

At an altitude of 2000 metres, the Ciampedie, or "God’s Field", is a beautiful panoramic balcony overlooking the Fassa valley and the Dolomites, also famous for the spectacular Vajolet Towers.

From the summit of the Ciampedie, you can see the Sassolungo, the Sella, the Marmolada, the Sasso Vernale, the crest of the Costabella, the Buffaure, the Monzoni and the Vallaccia and, in the distance, the Latemar group, the Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai.

A Gourmet paradise

Peaceful holidays in the Catinaccio area is also about appreciating a relaxing break in a refuge to savour traditional Ladin dishes, as well as national and international cuisine. A cool beer will go down well with the many genuine, well presented dishes on the menu, and the delicious desserts will replenish your strength. Try some of the homemade liqueurs and grappas, but don’t overdo it!
